Nanotech
NANOTECH is a technology used for the knowledge and control of matter on a small scale to achieve "nano" sized structures.
Since 2008 Sesderma has pioneered the application of NANOTECH in the development and manufacture of its products. During the formulation process, the active ingredients are encapsulated in liposomes, which have a structure like that of the skin, thus allowing higher levels of penetration and efficacy.
OUR DIFFERENTIAL VALUE VS CONVENTIONAL COSMETICS
✓ Because of their small size, our liposomes have penetration levels, efficacy and results never before achieved.
✓ They have an excellent tolerance thanks to their composition, identical to our cell membranes and the low concentration of active ingredients.
✓ This enables the transport of fat-soluble and water-soluble active ingredients (peptides, antioxidants, vitamins, cosmetic active ingredients, etc.) in the most selective possible way.
✓ This allows for a sustained release of active ingredients, thus reaching the target area and boosting the effect of the product (long-term release).

Research and development of new functionalized liposomes for the treatment of vitiligo and psoriasis
Project description: vitiligo and psoriasis are chronic skin diseases with a prevalence of 2% and 3% worldwide, respectively. In addition, in some cases patients present an anatomical coexistence of both types of dermatological lesions. Although different studies show that the incidence of psoriasis in patients with vitiligo is not higher than in the general population, this association is not considered rare, but rather underreported in clinics.
Currently, due to the lack of knowledge and the autoimmune nature of these diseases, existing treatments do not represent sustainable solutions due to the high risk of side effects and the lack of specificity at the cellular level. Therefore, Dermopartners has proposed to establish a decisive milestone in the field through the research and subsequent development of novel functionalized liposomes to respond to the existing limitations in the treatments of vitiligo and psoriasis.
Objective: the development of novel systems for transporting functionalized active ingredients that ensure their effectiveness, as well as a high specificity towards the therapeutic targets responsible for the dermatological disorders caused by vitiligo and psoriasis, thereby improving current state of the art results of treatments.
Results: milestone 1 of the project has been reached and the technology is developed on a laboratory scale.
